South Dakota sales tax and use tax rate increase June 1st

The South Dakota state sales and use tax rate will increase from 4% to 4.5% on June 1.


All transactions that are currently subject to the 4% state sales or use tax rate will be subject to the 4.5% sales or use tax rate effective June 1, 2016.


The Municipal taxes are not affected by this rate increase.
